About Me...

I learned early that beauty is fleeting—and that not being able to share it can hurt.

As a child, my parents walked different paths, and I grew up missing my father deeply. Every sunset, every flower, every moment of wonder carried a quiet ache, because I had no way to hold it or pass it along. Beauty moved through me, but it couldn’t stay.

Years later, life unraveled again. A divorce. A sick child. The loss of home, stability, and certainty. I was raising five children and barely holding myself together. In that dark season, I realized something simple and terrifying: I had never truly learned how to be happy—and how we live becomes the lesson we pass on.

So I went outside.

Before dawn, after dark, in all weather—I walked. I ran. I let the land hold what I couldn’t. The outdoors became refuge, teacher, and companion. Over time, the trees, animals, flowers, and changing light stopped being scenery and became relationships. They asked nothing of me. Presence was enough.

Somewhere along the way, joy returned—not as a destination, but as a companion. Beauty became the doorway.

Now, with a camera in hand, I photograph not to document where I’ve been, but to share what I feel. These images are offerings—ways to pass along the quiet, grounding, heart-opening experience of connection with the living world.

This is why I make photographs.

This is why I share them.

Welcome.

What I'm Drawn To...

I’m drawn to quiet edges—

places where light changes,

where animals pause,

where fear softens into curiosity,

and where being present is enough.

Beauty is not an escape.

It’s a way in.

This work lives across water, forest, light, open places,

and living beings.

Some moments become photographs.

Some become words.

All begin with paying attention.
